The Skinny Dip: Charleston Edition

Have you heard about the latest store to open on Charleston's historic King Street? The Skinny Dip: Charleston Edition is a collective concept store that highlights a variety of local and national designers (including Escapada Living). Their two-story space also has a fabulous rooftop bar and patio - the perfect place to unwind after a long day of shopping!

The Skinny Dip started in Nantucket, where founders Sara Rossi and Taylor Ivey opened their first location last summer. The shop's preppy vibes, gorgeous decor, and unique coterie of designers made it a hit with locals and vacationers alike, and the rest is history. They opened their second location in Charleston in April 2017, and we couldn't be happier to have them here!

The downstairs portion of this two-story shop focuses on designers from around the world, including a shop-within-a-shop from Kiel James Patrick. The Skinny Dip also carries brands owned by the store's co-founders - Beau & Ro bags from Sara and Ellsworth & Ivey capes from Taylor. It's a fabulous mix of established designers and up-and-comers, featuring product for both men and women!

The second floor of The Skinny Dip is all about Charleston. This level houses their Local Vibes section, where you can shop Escapada Living alongside other local brands like Candy Shop Vintage, Charleston Weekender, and even Shep Gear designed by Southern Charm's Shep Rose. The space also features a lounge area with furniture custom-designed by Society Social, a Rainbow Row mural painted by Meredith Hanson, and lots of beautiful art by Inslee, Modern South, and Jenn Griffith. The bright, airy setup is sure to put a smile on your face!

Last but not least, the second floor also houses an in-house coffee and wine bar, serving up creations by local favorite Rudi's Wine Shop. Grab a glass of frosé (frozen rosé, a.k.a. our new favorite drink), snap a photo with The Skinny Dip's adorable flower wall, then head out to the rooftop patio to relax. If you're anything like us, you'll never want to leave!
