Charleston’s Best Rooftop Views

With spring in full bloom, you’ll want to spend your time outside enjoying a drink at one of the infamous rooftop bars. Charleston has so many to choose from, each flaunting a unique perspective of the city. Here are some of our favorite rooftops to grab a drink and enjoy the sunshine!

Pavilion Roof Top

The Pavilion Roof Top is located above the Market Pavilion Hotel, on the corner of East Bay and Market St.  It has one of the highest rooftops in Charleston, which makes it one of the most popular rooftops in The Holy City.  The white and black marble patio is outfitted with illuminated umbrellas and an infinity pool! Come here at night for a magical view of the city!

The Cocktail Club

This under the radar rooftop looks like a speakeasy upon first glance.  The bar has exposed brick throughout and secluded lounge areas that are separated by orginal exposed beams.  If you further explore this trendy lounge, you'll find the outdoor terrace and garden where you can enjoy a punch bowl or a finely crafted cocktail.  The bartenders take their cocktails to the next level with the fresh herbs grown on the terrace.

The Rooftop at Vendue

For the best view of Charleston visit the rooftop at Vendue.  This rooftop has a relaxed vibe, and has multiple bars and levels to explore.  The Vendue has plenty of space to grab a table and watch the sunset with friends.

Eleve at The Grand Bohemian

For a rooftop bar with a modern twist, visit The Grand Bohemian’s Rooftop, Eleve.  This unique rooftop has a turf floor and round outdoor beds that make it stand out from the rest.

The Watch

Located on top of The Restoration Hotel, The Watch is Charleston’s newest rooftop bar.  This location might be the best rooftop to watch the sunset!

If you’re looking for more of a divey rooftop, Henry’s is your spot.  They have a great happy hour, and plenty of levels to explore.  At night, part of the bar turns into the night club NV, where you can dance the night away!
