Easy Painkiller Cocktail Recipe

A Painkiller cocktail is the quintessential summer drink. Its refreshing, fruity flavors will make you feel like you're on a tropical vacation! With pineapple, coconut, and a little rum, this easy Painkiller recipe is sure to become become an instant favorite.

Anyone that lives in Charleston knows that Hometeam Barbecue's Painkiller drinks are a summertime necessity (in moderation, of course). We recently served a batch of their yummy cocktails at a party with the Charleston Blog Society, and the drinks got rave reviews! Hometeam keeps their signature recipe as a closely guarded secret, but we've rounded up a super similar, super easy Painkiller recipe for you to recreate at home. Scroll down to check it out!

Easy Painkiller Cocktail Recipe


2-4 oz dark rum (Pusser's brand recommended)

4 oz pineapple juice

1 oz orange juice

1 oz cream of coconut

Grated nutmeg and sliced pineapple, for garnish


Fill a large glass or cocktail shaker with ice, then pour all the ingredients except the garnishes into the glass. Mix well, then top with fresh grated nutmeg and a slice of pineapple. You can also pop these ingredients into a blender with some ice, then blend until smooth for a fun twist on the recipe!
