A few weeks ago, Pantone announced the 2013 Color of the Year: EMERALD!

Pantone describes Emerald 17-5641 as “Lively. Radiant. Lush… A color of elegance and beauty that enhances our sense of well-being, balance, and harmony.” We couldn’t agree more. Check out these great Escapada Emerald styles below!

Escapada Living Shoots Spring 2013 Collection in Bahamas

Women’s Resortwear Company Travels To Elbow Cay in Abaco, Bahamas For Photoshoot Of Their Best-Selling Spring/Summer 2013 Collection

How to Grow: You can buy mint plants at several local retailers. Pot the plant and water it every day, mint needs a lot of water. It does not need to be in the shade, direct sunlight will not hurt it, but partial shade helps.

How to Grow: Keep in mind that cilantro, like the majority of us right now, does not appreciate the heat, so grow your cilantro inside where it has ample amounts of sunlight. Cilantro can be planted close to other plants or other cilantro plants to slow down the plant from going to seed. Water often whenever soil is dry.

How to Grow: Basil is a fairly easy plant to grow and a great choice for the summer time. A main ingredient in pesto, the plant has a great ability to season drinks as well. Plant in areas with full sun after there is no more threat of frost. Water whenever the soil becomes dry.

Spring has officially sprung and this season bright, bold colors can be seen everywhere! This makes us SO excited as Escapada girls because we are completely obsessed with color. There are a few key colors this spring such as hot pink, neon yellow, and green, but Pantone recently named the color of the year as Tangerine Tango. This vivacious color can be seen in everything from home décor, accessories, and clothing. The reddish-orange hue exudes warm, energetic vibes and is universally flattering. As the Pantone Color Institute said in their press release, Tangerine Tango is “sophisticated but at the same time dramatic and seductive.” We definitely agree and have translated this color into our own Spring 2012 Resort and Beach collections. Tangerine Tango is the perfect color for spring and summer and reminds us of fiery sunsets on the beach (one of our favorite things)!! Hopefully you will be inspired by this color just as much as we are!
